What can I expect on Sundays?

Relaxed Atmosphere
We have designed our Worship Service with our guests in mind. We have made a special effort to create a no-pressure environment, so guests can experience the difference of North Ridge! We will not single you out or call attention to you.

Comfortable Dress
When we look to the Bible, we see an emphasis on people, not their clothing (James 2:1-9). We desire this same emphasis at North Ridge. It’s truly ‘come as you are!’ There is no expectation in regards to dress.

Volunteers
Dedicated people who care for your children birth through three years old during the service, as well as a class for four year olds.
As you walk into the Skate Center you will find a sign in table for your younger children, and our friendly volunteers will show you exactly where we will care for your children as you enjoy the worship service. We ask guests to register their children for health and security reasons, so be sure to plan on taking a few minutes in the nursery. Your children are important to us at North Ridge. We have made great efforts to create an inviting and safe environment for children. Your child will enjoy our children’s activities with our trained volunteers. Our dedicated team is ready to assist you!

INSIDE/OUT
At North Ridge we believe children learn better in an environment created just for them. This is why we invite all children 1st-6th grade to join us for "INSIDE/OUT", a high energy, interactive time created just for them. Your children will be invited to follow our loving and fun adults to the children's area prior to the message.

Giving
Please do not feel obligated to participate in the offering. As our guest, please know that only our members and regular attenders are expected to give to the ministries of this church. All we ask of our guests is for you to fill out the information card and then drop it in the offering box on your way out.

Prayer Requests
As a guest please feel free to mention any prayers requests you may have on the back of your NRCC Connection Card. Simply drop it in the box on your way out and we will be sure to pray for that request throughout the next week.

What is your membership process?

We believe that membership in the local church is a significant step of spiritual growth. As such, we encourage everyone to complete all five of the following requirements leading to membership in North Ridge Community Church:

    1. Be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ . . .
Without a doubt, this is our primary concern for every person in the world. Certainly, membership in any local church must be preceded by membership in the universal church.
    2. Participate in Biblical Believer's Baptistm. . .
We believe scripture clearly shows us that Baptism must follow conversion of the believer, and that Baptism is performed by immersion. If these requirements have been met previously (whether at North Ridge or some other church), then they suffice for membership. Otherwise, the individual must undergo a Biblical Believer's Baptism in order for membership to proceed. Baptisms are performed at North Ridge Church on a regular basis throughout the year.
    3. Be a member of a North Ridge Community Church LifeGroup . . .
Membership in a Life Group is a critical element to both spiritual growth and spiritual health. There is no "formal" process for becoming a member of a LifeGroup ... it's simply a matter of being connected with, committed to, and regularly attending one group. For more information on the Life Group ministry, click on the LifeGroup tab. For children and youth who seek to become a member, this item is waived.
    4. Complete the "Stepping Into Membership" class . . .
This class is held on a regular schedule throughout the year and it is the step that indicates to us that the attendee is strongly considering membership. Although attendance at this class is a pre-requisite to membership, someone who completes this class is not required to complete the membership process.
    5. Complete and sign a "Membership Request" form . . .
This form is distributed at the "Stepping Into Membership" class. It gives us some valuable information about you and your family, your relationship with Jesus Christ, and your most recent church membership / affiliation. It also asks some questions about your Baptism, asks you to affirm that you concur with the beliefs, values, priorities (etc.) of North Ridge Community Church, and asks a few additional questions most of which require yes/no answers. A place is provided for a signature and date.

For those who have completed all of the first four items prior to attending the "Stepping Into Membership" class, membership occurs when the completed "Membership Request" is returned.

For those who have not completed all of the first three items prior to attending the "Stepping Into Membership" class, membership occurs when the open items are closed and the completed "Membership Request" is returned.

Is there a place for me to serve?

Being a new church there is always a place for others to come in and serve. In most areas you do not have to be a member to serve.
