Meet Our Team
Marc Sharp is happily married to Ginger. She is Marc’s partner in the gospel and his very best friend. They have four adult sons (of which they are very proud)! Marc and Ginger came to Lubbock in 1996 to help plant Christ Community Church and were there until 2009. Marc began serving as Executive Pastor for City View Christian Fellowship in April of 2013, and became the Lead Pastor in January of 2015. In February of 2018, North Ridge Life Church was planted with Marc as the Lead Pastor.
Marc is a great admirer and student of historical Christian teachers like Charles Spurgeon, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and John Calvin. Marc loves science fiction movies (especially Star Wars and Star Trek!), playing and watching golf.
David is a thoughtful teacher who loves to make the amazing story of Jesus Christ clear to his audience. He is also a skilled worship leader; playing guitar and singing. He often assists North Ridge Life’s worship team with his gift.
David and Caty have three kids. They are both passionate about missions, worship, and family. David is originally from Oregon, and is a fan of the Oregon Ducks and professional soccer.
Student Ministry Coordinator
Ginger Sharp oversees North Ridge Life’s ministry to children from birth to 5th grade. She coordinates and trains volunteers to use the Gospel Project curriculum. She also gives oversight to the Youth ministry. Her philosophy is that younger people are not just the future of the church, but a vital part of it’s life in the present.
Ginger likes to listen to the music of the late Rich Mullins, and also enjoys Sandra McCracken’s worship albums. She enjoys any outdoor activity from hiking to kayaking and is never more happy than when she is camping.
Worship Team Leader
Caty serves as the leader of North Ridge Life’s worship ministry. She is a singer, musician and songwriter who enjoys using her talents to bring glory to God and create an atmosphere of true and spiritual worship.
David and Caty met in Austria when they were teenagers. David’s parents were church planting missionaries, and Caty’s father was the principal of an international Christian school.
Judy keeps the day-to-day business of North Ridge Life running smoothly. She does so with a pleasant smile that makes everyone around her feel loved and appreciated.
Originally from San Angelo, Judy met and married her high school sweetheart, David, in Lubbock, where they started their family. They have been married over 50 years and have two grown children and four grandchildren. After moving to Dallas and spending 34 years there, the Burk’s returned to Lubbock in 2005.
